CEO / MD Renewable Energies UK
My client is a Green US based plc that is now launching its services and products across the UK and the EU. This is a very exciting and forward thinking venture with enormous potential to rapidly grow and dominate the UK and EU market with their innovative and green solutions.
Already launched and operating successfully in the US they are now in the process of expanding their market share to the UK and EU
In order to achieve their growth ambitions they are now seeking to bring on a dynamic and passionate CEO/MD to develop, manage and roll out their business across the UK.
Located in London, this individual will be a dynamic and already successful executive with at least 15 years management experience and at least 5 years C level expertise from large global businesses, with preference to a PLC group from Utilities, Green Tech, New Tech, and/or IT/Telematics, or Global Retail.
This role will be an end to end position. The role will require the incumbent to be a fast paced self starter, able to hit the ground running and will be responsible for developing and roll out of all operations as quickly as possible. This will include but is not limited to staff recruitment and development, business planning, back and front office operations, finance and budgets, project management, safety, legal etc.
You will also be expected to utilise an already strong UK C level Executive and Government Energy network to represent, sell and promote the business and group throughout the UK and ensure quick development of the business in all locations allocated.
As the CEO you will be the Ambassador for the group, responsible for marketing, brand awareness, PR and ensuring that there is wide spread knowledge of the group and its various projects and products across the UK.
As there will be a lot of cross over with projects, products and liaison with the US operations, this position will suit either an Expat or an individual with dual citizenship for the UK /US.
To be successful at this role you will have:
· You will have excellent academics with suitable professional qualifications (EG. ACA, CPA, MBA) from an internationally recognised University
· You will be living in London, UK or have spent at least 10 years working within the City.
· You will be either a EU/US citizen or have already obtained work status for the UK and or the USA
· You will have an extensive network of contacts across high end Industry sectors across the UK including government and local government, particularly in the Energy Department
· You will have extensive experience as a C level or MD and will have dealt with or have connections in Utilities, Energy, Green Tech, Retail, Government. Preference will be given to Executives from Public companies.
· You will be passionate about renewable technology.
· You will be hands on and enjoy business development with C level executive and the public sectors.
· You will enjoy building and developing internal structures and excited, motivated by being part of a dynamic group that is a market leader in their Industry and growing rapidly
· You will be creative with an excellent ability to think outside the box
· You will have excellent proven financial and numeric skills with extensive experience with large P&Ls.
· You will be a natural leader able to manage in excess of 150 people
· You will enjoy travel and will have experience speaking at conferences
· You will be technically orientated and enjoy learning and understanding engineering related projects
· You will have excellent time management and communication skills
· Experience with renewable energies a plus
· Fluency in German or other European languages a plus.
