Project Manager - Renewables - Ireland
The successful candidate will be required to deliver a diverse portfolio of renewable energy projects within Wind and Biomass development. They will be expected to do this in a consistent and profitable way, by applying best practice throughout the lifecycle of all the projects.
Key responsibilities include:
• Implement Best Practice in Development, Construction Safety Management and Environmental Management
• Manage all stages of the project from preparation of planning permission to hand over to Operations including contract procurement of key contractors & commercial management of the project
• Identification of the most suitable contractors/consultants for the progression of the project
• Implement Best Practice in Stakeholder Management in all project stages
• Interface with internal departments in the development, pre-construction and financing activities.
• Implement Best Practice in Project Controls and Governance Processes
• Report on a monthly basis the project PKI’s (EHS, Budget, Schedule, Project returns/finance performance) and Risk performance of the project through the Programme Manager
The ideal candidate will have:
• At least 3 Years Experience in Large Scale Project Management in a Renewable Energy Environment.
• You will ideally be degree qualified.
• Experience of Managing a Portfolio of Projects from Planning, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning through to Commencement of Operations
• Experience of dealing with Local Authorities and other Key Statutory Authorities
• Have Excellent Commercial and Negotiation Skills
• Experience of Managing a Team of Technical Experts both In-House and External Service Providers
• Understanding of EIA, SFM, and FSC, desirable.
• Strong Project Management and Planning Skills. You will also have a clear understanding of project financing.
• Strong Understanding of Planning, Permitting and Delivery of Grid Connections for Energy Projects
