Role purpose
The ETF product manager will drive the development of a global, world-class securities services offering to support the end-to-end servicing needs of ETF sponsors.
Key activities and decision making areas
Product Development
· Manage the strategic plan for new global ETF offerings encompassing the full product lifecycle, from concept through implementation and execution. Conduct monthly business reviews and analysis to ensure key deliverables are met.
· Analyse multiple business units to enable key resources needed to deliver a market leading integrated product offering, including custody, fund services, securities lending. Identify and evaluate third-party vendors to enhance product offering.
· Collaborate with multiple business units including stakeholders from, Global Markets, the Asset Management Group and others to assess and align client needs and expectations.
· Ensure the ETF strategic “change the bank” budget is directed / managed to maximum cost:benefit outcome
Product Management
· Develop/manage product functionality documentation and metrics to continuously track and improve product-level financial success, customer adoption trends, and product quality.
· Perform analysis on competitors and market sizing to inform product strategy.
· Ensure ETF offering meets with product criteria relating to financials, compliance and risk.
Business Development
· Support the business development team as needed as the subject matter expert for ETFs, including formal presentations to clients and prospects. Assist with the pricing of deals for ETFs

Observation of Internal Controls
· Maintains internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators.
· Understands, follows and demonstrates compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business in which the jobholder is involved, specifically Internal Controls and any Compliance policy including, inter alia, the Group Compliance policy.
Knowledge & Experience
· The successful candidate will have worked in a product development/management, client service, operational and/or relationship management role within a fund administration, securities processing, and/or investment management operations environment.
· The ideal candidate will have knowledge of ETF products, operating models, investment strategies, market trends and market landscape. In addition they will demonstrate:
· University degree and significant experience in product development and product management activity in a securities services environment
· Demonstrated capability to strongly influence delivery by multiple cross border internal stakeholders, and to operate with authority amongst senior securities services, asset management and global markets executives
· 6+ years product development/management experience
· Strong understanding of operational flows and business processes in securities services / ETF administration
· High achievement in business/process/finance related degree qualification – accounting knowledge a distinct advantage
· Self motivated with very strong organisation and project management education/skills
· Strong track record of conceiving, driving and engaging others in change management and change execution
· Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to provide succinct and clear presentation of information for decision making and for compelling sales proposition
· Credible individual with gravitas who is comfortable working with senior internal and client management
· Experience in managing product pricing, profitability and forecasting IT experience an advantage – demonstrated aptitude for quickly understanding IT capability is key
